Communication Director turned photographer.
I understand firsthand how images are used across websites, social media, press, and grant reporting; and what organizations need to tell their stories clearly and effectively.
A lifelong Hamptons resident and an enrolled member of the Shinnecock Nation, I document the communities I’m part of. I’m not just a vendor; I’m a participant. Outside of client work, my documentary and portrait practice centers Indigenous life, grounding my work in storytelling, care, and context.
Outside of photography I'm a cat mom, gym regular, slow runner, gamer, TV watcher, rookie podcaster/Youtuber, and chronic disease baddie.
And yes—Rebekah Phoenix is my real name.
"We have worked with Rebekah on several events over the years and she is a joy to work with! Not only is she reliable, professional and personable, she has the ability to capture the exact energy and essence of each event we curate into her photography. She cares deeply for her work and the communities she serves, if you have the opportunity to work with her, we would highly recommend you take advantage of that experience."
"Working with Rebekah to document our annual friendraiser benefit was an excellent experience. From the start, her professionalism stood out; she arrived prepared, stayed on schedule, and handled the high-energy environment with ease. She has a natural talent for finding authentic moments and the right lighting, ensuring the final photos felt both professional and true to the day."
Working with Rebekah is a dream. The care she has for both the craft and her subjects comes across in every photo. Rebekah has a rare ability to be completely present without ever making you feel watched—which was especially helpful for our team with varied comfort levels on-camera. The quality of her photos speaks for itself, but Rebekah’s presence equally elevates the entire experience We can’t wait to work with her again soon!
